PRELIMINARY EVALUATION OF RESULTS
Total Passing of School Candidates in the Form Six Examination
2022 shows a slight rise of 0.25 percent whereas in 2021
The pass rate was 99.62 percent and in 2022 the pass rate was 99.87 percent.
The quality pass rate for successful candidates in grades I, II, and III increased by 1.31 percent compared to 2021.
In addition, the overall performance and quality of girls’ performance in 2022 have increased slightly that of boys at 0.08 and 0.18 percent respectively.
The Examinations Council of Tanzania will conduct a comprehensive analysis of these results for each subject and provide publications for the analysis that will be presented for Education stakeholders
Including all ‘A’ level secondary schools in the country with the aim of enabling teachers to use analytical information in improve teaching and learning in schools.
FORBIDDEN TEST RESULTS
The Examinations Council of Tanzania has barred the release of 21 candidates schools that experienced health problems and failed to take the test for some subjects.
Relevant candidates have been given the opportunity to take the Exam of Form Six May, 2023, as school candidates.
DELETED TEST RESULTS
The Examinations Council of Tanzania has canceled the results of all 15 candidates who were found to be cheating on the examination.
Among of these candidates, 13 are school candidates and two (02) are independent candidates.
SUBJECT PERFORMANCE FOR SCHOOL EXAMINERS
Performance statistics for Form Six School candidates (ACSEE) May, 2022 show success in:
History, History, English Language, French Language, Arabic Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Advanced Mathematics, Economics,
Accountancy and Food and Human Nutrition have increased compared to in 2021.
Success in Commerce is 99.85 percent equivalent to 2021.
The pass rate in Kiswahili is 100% the same as the pass rate in that subject for the year 2021.
In addition, success in General Studies, Geography, Basic Applied Mathematics and Computer Science have dropped compared to 2021.

School quality is determined using the Average Points criterion (Grade Point Average – GPA) for school academic and grade performance.
