Kaps Community Development Institute (kcdi) – Mbeya Contacts & Programmes
KAPs foundation Ltd is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which has established Training Institute known as KAPs Community Development Institute. The institute is under National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
The Institute has developed programs that are in line with NTAs requirement. The purpose is to have efficient and flexible training programmes which are guided by industrial and professional needs as societal expectations.
The programmes being considered are community Development for the level of Certificate and Diploma together with ordinary diploma in primary education. The main objective of developing competence-based curriculum is to prepare technical personnel who will work flexibly at different workplaces after completing the NTA level 4,5 and 6 programmes.

Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4)
(A) For Community Development and Social Work
Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with Four Passes “D”. Excluding Religion Subjects. Completion of National Vocational Award Level three (NVA 3).
(B) For Agriculture
Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with Four Passes “D”. But the two D’s must be of science subjects (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Nutrition, Agriculture). Excluding Religion Subjects
Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5)
(a) Basic Technician Certificate in related programmes (NTA 4)
(b) Advanced Certificate of secondary Education or equivalent with at least one principal and one subsidiary passes
(c) Certificate from other institutes recognized by NACTE.
Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6)
(a) Technician Certificate in related Programmes NTA level 5
(b) Certificate from other institutes recognized by NACTE.
