THE Tanzania Revenue Authority has announced the names of 112,952 candidates who met the criteria set and were called for a written interview, while the number of candidates to be recruited from various cadres is 1,596.

Earlier in February this year, TRA Commissioner General Yusuph Mwenda in Dodoma said they had received 135,027 applications for the job vacancies advertised by the Authority.

“TRA has carefully reviewed all the applications received and found 112,952 job applicants who met the criteria set and were therefore eligible to be called for a written interview which is expected to be held from March 29 to 30 this year.” Kabengwe said.

TRA implements the sixth work plan (CP6:2022/23 – 2026/27) implementing the Vision of being an “Institute of Reliable Income for Social and Economic Development” and the Mission of “Simplifying and Strengthening Voluntary Taxation for Sustainable Development”.

TRA would like to inform all Job Applicants who applied for a job from 06 February 2025 to 19 February 2025 that the interview is expected to be conducted in various stages starting from 29 March 2025.

Interviewees who are called for interview should adhere to the following instructions:

1. The interview will be held on the date as indicated in this advertisement specifying the day, time and place where the interview will be held for each Cadre.

2. Each Interviewee should come with a letter of invitation to the interview with the candidate number sent to his/her email address. This number will be used during the interview.

3. Each Interviewee should have an identification for identification. Acceptable identifications include: – Citizenship ID, Resident ID, Voter ID, Driver’s License, Passport or Letter of Identification from the Government of the District/Village you are from. Identifications other than those specified will not be recognized.

4. Candidates are required to bring their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES starting from Birth Certificate, Form IV, VI, Diploma, Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree and so on depending on the qualifications of the Applicant. Also, all candidates are required to bring photocopies of academic certificates as well as transcripts.

5. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of results, Transcript, Form IV and VI results slips (form V and form VI results slips) without original certificates WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO PROCEED WITH THE INTERVIEW.

6. For applicants who studied outside Tanzania, ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (such as TCU, NACTE or NECTA).

7. For cadres that are required to be registered with Academic Boards, they should bring their original certificates of registration and work licenses (for those concerned).

8. The candidate will be allowed to interview after completing the verification of certificates and meeting the qualifications for the job he/she applied for.

9. The verification of certificates will start at 12.00 AM for the morning schedule and at 6.00 PM for the afternoon schedule.

10. Each candidate will cover their own food, transportation and accommodation.

11. Each candidate should adhere to the date, time and centre assigned to him/her for the interview.

12. Candidates are not allowed to bring their phones, watches or any electronic devices to the interview area.

13. Candidates with special needs are advised to arrive early and report to the Centre Manager so that they can be provided with the necessary assistance.

14. Job applicants whose names did not appear in this advertisement should note that they did not meet the initial criteria. Therefore, they should not hesitate to apply again when the vacancies are advertised and comply with the requirements of the relevant advertisement.
