Introduction

The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) is a government institution mandated the role of providing, promoting, and facilitating financial support for providing of Vocational Education and Training system in Tanzania

VETA | Jinsi ya Kujiunga na Chuo Cha Ufundi Stadi VETA

VETA has set a special procedure for joining to get training in the colleges it owns.

The process is as described below:

1. VETA provides long and short term training and in various systems;

2. For long-term training, all colleges announce admissions in the month of August every year.

Announcements are made in the media in the country as well as on the website www.veta.go.tz;

3. The applicant must have completed primary, secondary and continuing education;

4. The applicant takes the form at any nearby college. The forms contain information on all the colleges owned by VETA, including the fields taught and where the college is located and whether it is full-time or boarding;

5. The applicant is allowed to take the exam to join the region he took the form but he can choose to study any region he chooses according to his needs;

6. The applicant must take an aptitude test in October and those who are selected are notified in December to begin studies in January of the following year;

7. The successful applicant is provided with an admissions letter detailing all relevant requirements.

The requirements vary from one college to another and depend on the field he applied for, and also if it is full-time or boarding;

8. With this procedure, the Applicant begins to join Level 1, which is the lowest level.

9. Applicants who continue to higher grades (Level II-III), the criteria is the success of the relevant grade enables him to move up to another grade.

VETA | Long Courses Offered In VETA Centres

Ada na gharama za mafunzo kwa vyuo vinavyomilikiwa na VETA

Training fees for long-term courses for colleges owned by VETA are currently 60,000 shillings for a full-time student in all fields and 120,000 shillings for boarding.

Other requirements depend on the field and college, estimated to be between 200,000 and 250,000 shillings
