The Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College invites applications from qualified candidates for the admission into the Bachelor Degree Programmes for the academic year 2021/2022.

Application Procedures 

1. Please read the admission criteria and verify that you are qualified for application before you start application.

2. Applicants are advised to pay application fee either direct through CRDB Bank or CRDB agents (Wakala)

2. Prepare the following details in order to continue into step two:

For Applicants with ACSEE –

1. You will use your form IV Index number and Form VI Index number for verifications of your education details

2. You are required to have a valid and working mobile number and personal email address.

For Applicants with Foreign Certificate (ACSEE Equivalent) Certificate –

1. Make sure you have verified your certificate with regulatory authority (NECTA) and obtained an equvalent index number start with EQxxxxx

2. You are required to have a valid and working personal email address.

For Applicants with Ordinary Diploma/ Equivalent to Ordinary Diploma (FTC & Others)

1. Applicant Verification Number (AVN) from NACTE Awards Verification System (Apply Here for AVN))

2. You are required to have a valid and working personal email address and mobile phone.

A. The College offers FIVE (5) years programme leading to:

Doctor of Medicine

B. The College offers THREE (3) years programme leading to:

Bachelor of Science in Health Laboratory Sciences (BSc HLSc)

C. The College offers FOUR (4) years programme leading to:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

D. The College offers FOUR (4) years programme leading to:

Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy

Minimum Entry Qualifications

Direct Entrants:

 (i) Doctor of Medicine

Three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum of 6 points: A minimum of D grade in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

(ii)  Bachelor of Science in Health Laboratory Science

Three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 6 points: A minimum of C grade in Chemistry and D grade in Biology and at least E grade in Physics.

(iii)  Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Three principal passes in Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Mathematics or Nutrition with a minimum of 6 points; i.e. an applicant must have at least C grade in Chemistry and at least D grade in Biology and E grade in Physics or Mathematics or Nutrition.

(iv) Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy

 Three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 6 points: A minimum of C grade in Chemistry and D grade in Biology and at least E grade in Physics.

Equivalent Entrants:

All equivalent applicants may apply for above programmes if they meet the requirements stated below:

(i) Doctor of Medicine

Diploma in Clinical Medicine with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English at O-Level.

(ii) Bachelor of Science in Health Laboratory Science

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English at O-Level.

(iii) Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Diploma in Nursing with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English at O-Level.

(iv) Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy

Diploma in Physiotherapy with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English at O-Level.

Holders of Foreign Qualifications:

All applicants holding foreign qualifications must have their qualifications validated and equated by the respective regulatory bodies before submitting  their applications for admissions as follows:

1. The National Examination Council of Tanzania in respect of certificates secondary education and teacher education; and

2. The National Council for Technical Education in respect of NTA Level 6 qualification.

IMPORTANT:

A. You are advised to choose the programme that you prefer since no change of programme will be entertained once the admission has been offered.

B.  Application fee of Tsh. 50,000 for Tanzanians and 50 USD for Non Tanzanians will be paid one time of application (NONE Refundable).

C. Information for KCMUCo fees is provided through the KCMUCo website: http://www.kcmuco.ac.tz .

D. The closing date for receiving first round of applications is on 5th August, 2021.

E.  No consideration will be made for late applicants.

How to Apply for KCMC Online Admission System (KCMC OAS)

This is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College. To apply for admission, follow the steps below;

Step 1: Access the KCMC Admission website

Access the KCMC Admission website: https://osim.kcmuco.ac.tz/apply

Step 2: The KCMC online application system will open

Navigate to the Undergraduate or postgraduate section and read the available instruction carefully.

Step 3: Registration

Navigate to the registration link and fill in the required information to complete your registration. The information needed during the registration stage includes

• First name
• Surname
• Email Address
• Mobile Telephone Number
• O-Level index number,

To finalize registration, you will need to put in a password of your choice that you will use whenever you wish to log into the admission system.

If you are successfully registered, then the system will send you an email or SMS. Please log in to your email account and use the link sent to your email to activate your admission account.

Step 4: KCMC online application login

Login to KCMC OAS by using your Username and password. Complete your registration by providing your basic information such as gender, marital status, and date of birth, among others.

Step 5: KCMC Application fees payment

Once you have completed the registration stage, the control number will automatically be generated and you will be able to make an application fee payment and complete the application. For a successful application, an applicant must pay a non-refundable application fee of 10,000/= TZS.

Step 6: The course selection feature 

You will only be visible for filling once the application fee is paid, carefully select your courses and submit your completed application: In order to successfully complete the application; the applicant is required to complete all steps from “Home” to” Submit” your application.
