Despite the outbreak of the corona virus, rich people in Africa have increased their wealth beyond what they had eight years ago.
Billionaires of this continent as a whole made $ 84.9 billion which is 15 percent more than their wealth 12 months ago and that is the largest number added since 2014 where there were 28 billionaires according to Forbes magazine.
Rising stock prices from Nigeria to Zimbabwe increased the wealth of these traders due to the increasing demand for cement to recreational products.

South Africa and Egypt are the countries with the most billionaires – both countries with five billionaires each followed by Nigeria with three billionaires.
In the list, billionaire Aliko Dangote once again led Africa with a fortune of $ 13.9b.
The wealth of the richest man in Africa increased from $ 12.1 billion last year to about $ 13.9 billion, according to Forbes magazine.
Forbes said the growth was due to an increase in the share price of Dangote cement company which is its most valuable asset.
In second place is South African billionaire Johann Rupert who rose from fourth place last year.
Sixty percent of its shares in Cartier Watches and Montblanc increased its wealth to $ 11 billion from $ 7.2 billion a year ago as the most profitable trader on the list.
South African businessman Nick Oppenheimer, who owned the DeBeers diamond mining company before selling it to Anglo American a decade ago took third place with a fortune worth $ 8.7 billion.
The billionaire who benefited the most was Zimbabwe’s Strive Masiyiwa who rose by 125 percent. His fortune rose from $ 1.2 billion to $ 2.7 billion last year.
