The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), previously Football Association of Tanzania (FAT), is the governing body of football in Tanzania and oversees the Tanzania national football teams. It was founded in 1930 and is affiliated to FIFA since 1964.
The Federation was founded in 1930 as Tanganyika Football Association (TFA). It was later renamed as Football Association of Tanzania (FAT) in 1971 after major amendments in its Constitution.
FAT existed until 2004 when the new name TFF came into force after the body’s General Assembly held on 27th December of the same year.
The Current TFF Constitution came into force 15th January 2006 following the General Assembly held in Dar es Salaam on 14th and 15th January 2006.
Currently, Wallace Karia is the President of Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), succeeding to Jamal Malinzi in August 2017.
TFF regions and blocks are becoming more empowered under his leadership as he believes they are the drivers of development agenda.

Ratiba Ligi kuu Tanzania msimu 2021/2022 , Tanzania Mainland Premier Soccer League will officially start on 29 September 2021
With the match marking the start of the Community Shield season between Simba against Yanga being played on 25 September 2021
The league this season 2021/2022 will feature a total of only 16 teams if it is two less compared to those of last season the 2020/2021 season
The teams that will participate in the league for the 2021/2022 season are Simba who are the defending champions, Yanga who are the second winners, Azam Fc who are in third place and Biashara United who are in fourth place.
The other teams are Kindondoni Municipal Council KMC, Tanzania Police, Tanzania Prisons, Dodoma City, Namungo, Mbeya City, Ruvu Shooting, Kagera Sugar, Coastal Union, Mtibwa Sugar
The league will also witness two teams from the First Division, the teams being Mbeya Kwanza from Mbeya and Geita Gold Fc from Geita region.
