The Office of the President TAMISEMI is the only Ministry whose Headquarters started in Dodoma since the beginning of the seventies since the Government announced that the Government Headquarters is Dodoma and in Dar es Salaam there has been a small Office.

The presence of the Headquarters in Dodoma was aimed at providing equal opportunities to its main stakeholders, especially the Regions and Local Government Authorities to reach Dodoma easily when they follow various services.

The purpose of the existence of Local Governments is to transfer Powers to the Citizens, which originates from the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania of 1977 in Chapter 8, Article 145 and 146.

The transfer of power to the citizens is through the Local Government Authorities and that is why Local Governments and Citizens’ participation in the development process have been identified in the Constitution and Laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Mision

To create an enabling environment for the implementation of the Public Decentralization Policy, Rural and Urban Development, Laws, Guidelines and Standards to enable the Regions and Local Government Authorities to provide better services to citizens and eliminate poverty.

Minister of the President Office Regional Administrations and Local Governments Hon. Mohamed Mchengerwa has said that his office has received approval and during this financial year will announce more than 20,000 jobs in the Teaching and Health Cadre.

Minister Mchengerwa said this in Newala District when he gave greetings from his Ministry at a public meeting held in the district on 16.09.2023.

He has said Hon. President, through my Office, we requested a job permit through the Office of the President – Service and you yourself confirmed that in this fiscal year we will hire 20,600 employees who are the most deficient in the Council.

‘Each Council we pass a big request for employments is Education and Health Staff and you have given us the Permit to hire so anytime within this Financial year we will announce those Jobs and we will bring staff to this Newala’ said Mchengerwa.

Through these jobs, all councils will get staff in those areas and here in Newala we will provide 130 staffs for the Education and Health Cadres’ he emphasized.
