TANZANIA COMMISSION FOR UNIVERSITIES (TCU)
The Tanzania Commission For Universities (TCU) would like to inform the public, Higher Education Institutions, and all Higher Education Stakeholders at home and abroad that following the announcement of the Form Six Examination results
The Commission has opened the admission application window for applicants. of the First Degree from today on 8/7/2022 instead of the previously scheduled 15/7/2022. This window will be open until 05/8/2022.
The Commission encourages all applicants for admission to continue accessing accurate information through the TCU website www.tcu.go.tz, college websites that are permitted to admit undergraduate students, as well as various information provided by TCU through the media.
Similarly, the Commission calls on applicants and the general public to attend the 17th Higher Education, Science and Technology Exhibition to be held at Mnazi Mmoja Stadium, Dar es Salaam where they will have the opportunity to meet face to face with Higher Education Institutions. . The exhibition will take place from July 18 to July 23, 2022.
Procedure for Submitting Application for Admission for the Academic Year 2022/2023
Groups of Applicants for Admission to a Bachelor’s Degree to three groups of applicants:
a) Qualified Form Six qualifications;
b) Qualified Diploma (Ordinary Diploma), or equivalent qualifications; and
c) Eligible for the Foundation Certificate of the Open University of Tanzania.
To understand the qualifications for the three categories mentioned above, applicants are instructed to read the criteria set out in the TCU (Undergraduate Admission Guidebooks for 2022/2023) available on the TCU website www.tcu.go.tz.
Procedure for Submitting Application for Admission
a) Applications should be sent directly to the colleges where the applicant has selected and selected the study programs of their choice. Guidelines for accredited applications and eligibility criteria (Undergraduate Admission Guidebooks for 2022/2023 are available on the TCU website www.tcu.go.tz.
b) Specific instructions on how to apply are provided by the respective colleges.
Qualifications and Qualifications of Applicants for Admission
Important Issues to Be Considered by Applicants
a) Carefully read the admission guidelines provided by TCU before understanding any application for admission;
b) Log in to college websites to find out application procedures;
c) Sending applications directly to colleges through electronic systems set up by the respective colleges;
d) Contact the colleges directly and obtain detailed information about the study programs to satisfy yourself before submitting applications; and
e) Applicants with certificates issued by examinations councils abroad must submit their certificates to the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for Secondary Education certificates or the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) for Diploma certificates to obtain compliance certification before submitting application for admission.
The Commission calls on all undergraduate applicants, should they need to contact the relevant colleges directly if they need clarification on any issues related to admission. In addition, if they need more information they can contact TCU by email [email protected].
TCU urges citizens to avoid being misled by so-called agents or counselors who claim to provide services on how to join higher education institutions in the country.
