List ya Waliopata Mkopo Diploma HESLB 2025 March Intake:- The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) is a body corporate established under Act No.9 of 2004 (as amended in 2007, 2014 and 2016) with the objective of assisting needy and eligible Tanzania students to access loans and grants for higher education.
The main mandates of HESLB include:
1. To assist, on a loan basis, needy students who secure admission in accredited higher learning institutions, but who have no economic power to pay for the costs of their education
2. To collect due loans from loan beneficiaries and use it as revolving fund to sustain operations of the Board
3. To create synergies through establishing strategic partnerships in student financing ecosystem
DIPLOMA STUDENT LOANS BENEFICIARIES WHO APPLIED IN THE MARCH 2025 WINDOW
873 students have been allocated loans worth TZS 1.9 Billion
We are announcing to all students who applied for loans for the March window, that a total of 873 applicants have been allocated loans worth TZS 1,944,922,500.00.
In this phase, the loans are structured as follows:
- Food and Accommodation (MA) worth TZS 1,519,788,750.00
- Tuition Fee (TU) worth TZS 408,433,750.00 and
- Books and stationery (BS) worth TZS 16,700,000.00.
With this information, students who have applied for loans are advised to check their information through their loan application account (SIPA).
The students concerned will also be required to register in the digital payment system (DiDis) through their college Loan Officers.
It will be recalled that the March Window opened on January 15, 2025 to February 15, 2025.
As of May 2, 2025, a total of 8,438 diploma students have benefited from loans worth TZS 22,072,267,601.00 for the year 2024/2025.
