RITA Birth and Death Certificate Verification For HESLB Application 2023
RITA was officially launched on the 23rd June 2006 and replaces what was known as the Administrator Generals Department in the Attorney General Chambers, Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
It is an Executive Agency under the Attorney Generals Chambers in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
The history of RITA dates back in 1917 when the German Colonial power enacted a law for registration of births and deaths (Proclamation No.15 of 1917 (Civil Area).
When the British took over the administration of Tanganyika (Tanzania Mainland) from the Germans retained the Register of births and deaths established under the Germans law by saving it under the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance, 1920 (Cap.108)
It should be noted that under both colonial powers registration of births and deaths was not compulsory for Africans.
GUIDELINES FOR RITA Birth and Death Certificate Verification For HESLB Application 2023
All applicants must follow the following guidelines;
1. Enter the Agency’s website www.rita.go.tz
2. Press the button labeled eRITA
3. Select Birth and Death Service;
4. Click REGISTER in the REGISTRATION section and fill in all the information correctly to open an application account;
(Important: Password must have at least eight characters and a combination of uppercase, lowercase and one symbol (Example: @#”!*&),
5. Log in to the email account “email” open the message sent from RITA then press the word “Account activation” After opening an account, click SIGN IN and fill in the correct information to enter the system;
7. Select BIRTH SERVICES for the service of Birth (Death Services for the service of death);
OR
8. Select REQUEST VERIFICATION and fill in all the information correctly;
9. Attach verified Birth/Death Certificate;
10. Request a Payment number by pressing “REQUEST CONTROL NUMBER”;
11. Make the correct payment according to the invoice given to you;
12. The verification answers will be sent through the account you opened by clicking on
the word DETAILS
13. The application code will appear in the section labeled DETAILS immediately after the verification answers are sent to your account.
Important
<> Take care of the password of the account you opened.
<> Attach a copy in PDF format where all the information including the entry number is legible.
